So far only the first two pages of the prompt post have been archived. One person has offered to help with the Delicious account, but since it's a lot of work, more volunteers would be very welcome.

A Friending Meme will be posted next Thursday.

Our first write-a-thon will be happening next weekend. Starting on Friday, midnight UTC, there will be a 48 hour prompt freeze. Meaning you're not supposed to post any new prompts during that period - any prompts that are posted will be screened until the end of the prompt freeze. The point is to write/finish fills for existing prompts during that time period.

We'll see how that goes and if the prompt freezes should be shorter/longer in the future. I'll also get a delicious account up and running some time next week. If anyone would be willing to help archive all prompts/fills on the delicious account, that would be much appreciated.

Mod wants YOUR input

I hope that title sounds sufficiently click-baity. ;)

The kink meme has been up for almost a week now and we already have a wealth of wonderful prompts and quite a few great fills. I thought this might be a good time to ask you for input on how we can make sure this kink meme a) continues to be active and enjoyable, b) continues to yield lots of fills. And for you to voice any other suggestions you may have.

Some ideas:

1) Regular write-a-thons. 2-3 days, maybe every other or third weekend, to encourage people to fill more. Maybe there'd be a prompt freeze for a day or two - no new prompts, go work on fills. Obviously you could prompt again afterwards. Is this something you'd like or is it a dumb idea?

2) Themed writing days. E.g. Kink Saturday, Gen Tuesday. Not necessarily weekly, but every now and then. Obviously this wouldn't be obligatory and you could still write whatever you want, but it might help people pick a prompt. Because I don't know about you, but I usually end up with dozens of prompts I'd love to write and no idea where to start, so it could be fun to say, "today I'm going to write a gen fill" or "today I'm going to write a kink I've never written before". Again, does that sound interesting to you? Should this be combined with the write-a-thons? (E.g. a gen write-a-thon, a kink write-a-thon ...)

3) Friending meme. This is less about writing and more about the community, but would you like a friending meme to get to know each other?

Other things: there should probably be a Delicious account at some point, but I currently don't have the time for that. I will hopefully get to that in a week or two. Unless someone would like to volunteer as the kink meme's Delicious account person?

What do you think of all these things? Yes, good? No, dumb? Some of it good, some of it unnecessary? Do you have other ideas that I didn't even think of?

You can use this post for meta, to discuss headcanons, to talk about your favourite scenes, to ask for tumblr recs, to ask fic research questions etc. You don't have to post anonymously in the discussion post.

We might also do a friending meme if people are interested, once more people have seen the movie and joined the fandom.

Welcome to the Man From U.N.C.L.E. Kink Meme! This kink meme is for prompts and fills from both the TV series and the 2015 movie. If you are requesting a specific canon, please specify which in your prompt.

Please read the rules before posting.

Rules:

1. Be 18 or older, or at least don't advertise it if you're not.

2. Prompt and fill anonymously. If you've reposted your fill elsewhere (on AO3, LJ, etc.), you can de-anon to link it. Otherwise, stay anon.

3. Don't be a jerk. No ship bashing, no kink shaming, no criticising other people's prompts. YKINMKATO.

4. Please use the comment header to give a general idea of your prompt: CharacterA/CharacterB(/CharacterC etc.): Short Prompt Description (Kink, Topic, Subject etc.)
E.g. Napoleon/Illya: gun play; Illya/Gaby: first time

5. This kink meme is Choose Not To Warn. Warning for common triggers and squicks (non-con, graphic violence etc.) is appreciated, but not obligatory.

6. Not all promps have to be kink/smut. Gen prompts and fills are welcome, too.

Edit2: This is not a new rule, but more of a suggestion. We currently have a lot more prompts than fills - like most kink memes, I suppose - but I think none of us want this place to become all prompts and no fills. So let's all try to fill more, to write a fill for every (or every other) prompt we post. Fills can be short, nobody expects you to write an epic longfic for a kinkmeme fill. Let's also remember to leave feedback on existing fills - nothing encourages writers to write more than knowing that their work is appreciated. :)

Edit3: Please include the pairing in the subject line of your fills (and on the fill post), especially if you fill a prompt that doesn't specify the pairing. If the prompt says, for example, "OT3 or Illya/Napoleon", please specify which pairing your fill includes. That makes it easier for people to find things they're interested in reading.
